Because of the employer\u2019s inaction, several buyers experienced serious property and financial damages.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-7-ways-hr-can-avoid-negligent-retention\">7 ways HR can avoid negligent retention<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>HR can play a significant role in preventing negligent retention in the workplace. Here\u2019s how:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1.<\/strong> <strong>Conduct thorough background checks<\/strong>: Every potential employee should be thoroughly screened during the hiring process. Conduct reference checks to identify any potential red flags that impact a candidate\u2019s suitability for the role.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2.<\/strong> <strong>Address issues quickly<\/strong>: When an employee\u2019s actions cause problems or are a risk to others, HR should immediately deal with the issue.
